I have had Time Warner Cable for a little while now and I still haven't received my first bill. I grew concerned about two weeks ago and contacted their online customer service. I was told I should get the bill in a few days. I waited. Two weeks later I still have no bill.
So today I talked to their online customer service again...I was advised by this person that he couldn't help me with that issue and I should contact their phone customer service.
This is how the conversation with this person went:
CSR: Hi, how can I help you today?
Me: Hi, I am concerned that I still haven't received my first bill but I feel like I should've had it by now.
CSR: Where should we be sending it?
Me: To the address I just verified. It's correct.
CSR: Then you should have it.
Me: But I don't have it.
CSR: Well, you should have it. We sent it there.
Me: And...I didn't get it. Can you do something about sending another one?
CSR: Well, I'm showing that you're signed up for our PayExpress...maybe that's why you didn't get your bill. Once that's activated then we stop sending paper bills.
Me: What day was the paper bill sent?
CSR: November 30th.
Me: I just signed up for PayExpress with the online customer service today.
CSR: Well, if you log in to your PayExpress you can see your bill.
Me: Great! How do I do that?
CSR explains.
Me: It says I need a username and password. Where do I get those?
CSR: When you signed up they gave it to you.
Me: I JUST signed up 5 minutes ago and I wasn't given a username and password.
CSR: Yes you were.
Me: NO, I wasn't.
CSR: Well, you can re-register now then.
Me: It says I need the account number to register...can you give me that?
CSR: It's on your bill.
Me: I haven't gotten my bill...
CSR: Well, you'll have to wait for your bill then. I'll have it resent. But the payment is late. It was due on December 21st.
Me: -sigh-
I proceeded to pay over their automated system but is it just me or does that conversation lack a certain common sense, customer service, and a general preparedness for my questions?
I guess I should just be grateful that I could understand what she was saying lol.

You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-word answers seldom help anyone out .
1. First Name: Jen
2. Age: 27
3. Location: Auburn, Maine
4. Occupation: Sometimes an online student, friend, high-maintainence pet, amateur computer-fixer, pursuer of Disability benefits, lover of animals, and friend of wildlife.
5. Partner? Um...my cat Cyprus? lol
6. Kids: Well, I call Cyprus my baby. This does seem awkward considering number 5 though...hmm...
7. Brothers/Sisters: 2 younger sisters: Alyssa and Annie.
8. Pets: Cyprus (cat), Uranus and Ivan (beta fish), Yamai and Nulpi (Degus), and 8 gerbils. Also in our house are Puck and Chandler (rabbits), Matrix, Koda, and Pharoah(cats), Memnoch and Merrick (cockatiels), Lucius (milksnake), Poker (corn snake), Jack and Patty (leopard geckos), Terren, Kaaloch, and Brom (bearded dragons), Aven and Shani (crested geckos), Pandora (Kat's gerbil), Xylia (chinchilla), Lestat (tokay gecko), and three fish-tanks.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: -I fell down the stairs recently and hurt my leg. It's been a big deal with lots of x-rays, blood tests, and antibiotics. Now they think the infection might have gone deep into the bone so I might need extensive antibiotics via IV. -Volunteering for Misfits Rehab and helping to prepare squirrels to be released back into the wild. -Haven't been well (physically/mentally) enough to work so I've been trying to get Disability benefits since September 2007. It's a long, drawn-out process. -Trying to make positive chances to get myself healthier. These include going to weekly one-on-one therapy, going to group DBT/CBT, drinking lots of water, eating healthier, taking supplements, doing a lot of research and having control over any prescriptions I take, and attempting to get any exercise my injured body can handle. -Trying to rewire my brain to think positive and not give up so easily.
